60 Years ago a huge flood rushed through Pine Canyon, wiping out much of the road. School was closed and Waterville was isolated for a few days except for emergency travel.
The public was not allowed in the canyon as they worked on the road, but Bill Benner, owner of the local machine shop had to go down to repair equipment that was breaking down. His wife, Velma Benner and 5 year old daughter Linda Benner went along. Velma took the black and white photos contained in this album.
The color photos were taken by Clyde Jones and were provided to us by his son, Bob Jones.
